RecoveryMate is built so we cannot leak your data, because we do not collect it. This page explains, in plain English, exactly what happens to information when you use RecoveryMate.
What we store: essentially nothing about you
We never collect, store, transmit, or log your passwords, PINs, two factor or backup codes, card numbers, or account numbers. RecoveryMate records facts about your setup (for example, that you bank with a particular bank, or that you answered “no” to having a SIM PIN), never any secret.
Where your answers live: your browser
Your audit answers and your generated runbook are stored in your own browser (localStorage) and in any PDF you export. They are not sent to our servers. Clearing your browser data removes them. There are no accounts, no logins, and no tracking cookies.
Payments
If you buy a runbook, payment is handled by Stripe. Stripe keeps its own record of the transaction; we do not mirror or store your email, card, or billing details. After payment we hold only a signed “paid” token in your browser, and it contains no personal information.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to count anonymous events like “an audit was started”. We never send your quiz answers, score, or any personal data into analytics, only the event name.
Your rights (AU Privacy Act / US visitors)
Because we do not hold personal information about you, there is nothing for us to access, correct, or delete on a server. You control everything locally in your browser. If you have questions, contact us at hello@recoverymate.ai.
RecoveryMate provides general guidance only and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any bank, telecommunications carrier, government agency, or company named in this document.
